The Centre for Technology Alternatives for Rural Areas (CTARA) at IIT Bombay, in collaboration
with experts from the University of Vermont (UofV), Burlington, USA, and University of Toronto
(UofT), Canada, is arranging a roundtable meet cum workshop on “Challenges and Trends in Water
Quality Monitoring of Rivers” in February 2024. The workshop is being organized as part of ‘Seed
funding for Collaboration and Partnership Projects (SCPP)’ supported by the Institute of Eminence
(IOE) funds of IIT Bombay and the agenda is to bring the various stakeholders working towards protecting
water quality of surface water bodies on a common platform to share their knowledge and challenges to help
build a comprehensive water quality plan (including sampling and testing) for surface water bodies
to protect the water quality.
